Introduction to Dr. Gu Xiuquan
Dr. Gu Xiuquan is truly the “father of wealth creation studies.” Before 1989, the term “wealth creation” did not exist at all. After the publication of Dr. Gu’s “Self-Wealth Creation Studies,” the term “wealth creation” spread widely across Chinese communities, becoming synonymous with the new generation of “success.”
Dr. Gu was the world’s first and only Western-trained clinical psychologist (Bachelor of Arts and Master of Social Sciences from the University of Hong Kong, PhD from Clayton University in the United States) and also holds a PhD in Chinese Medicine (Hunan University of Chinese Medicine). He taught at the University of Hong Kong and served as the head of the Counseling Department at Hong Kong Shue Yan College for ten years.
He is Hong Kong’s first and most renowned clinical psychologist practicing in private practice. Dr. Gu has authored more than thirty works (books, videotapes, audio tapes, CDs, VCDs, etc.), has given over 500 television interviews and more than 1,200 exclusive newspaper interviews, breaking the professional record for “exposure” and becoming a household name in Hong Kong.
Since the 1980s, Dr. Gu has been promoting business psychology. He entered business through Confucianism, covering everything from manufacturing, distribution, and retail to trade. He has mentored world-class mall masters such as Peter Drucker, Tom Peters, Edward Deming, Ries & Trout, Jay Abraham, Robert Kiyosaki, and others. His combined theoretical and practical expertise has enabled him to become a contemporary ‘founding master of the business world.’
Since 1992, Dr. Gu has devoted himself fully to training in business psychology. He also established a training center, dedicated to using accelerated learning methods to help realize personal potential.
