The path to becoming a LOMA Fellow in the insurance profession

With China’s accession to the WTO, the domestic financial system has become internationalized, and the market is gradually opening up. Insurance companies worldwide have all entered the China Planning Board. China recruits a large number of talents, with life insurance managers and academicians and academicians in the United States holding world-class (life insurance major) academic qualifications. It is a required course for internal staff in insurance companies.

As the financial industry continues to evolve, the ability to keep learning and adapt to an international perspective becomes especially important. The LOMA Life Insurance Manager program is the ideal choice to meet this need. Founded by the Life Insurance Management Society of America, those who choose to study the LOMA (FLMI) course will receive comprehensive professional knowledge, practical skills, and professional ethics education—key factors for success in today’s highly competitive financial industry.

    • 302 – Policy Life Cycle: Administrative operations of life insurance companies

Management

    • 307 – Insurance professionals’ business and financial philosophies
    • 308 – Insurance Business: Application of Financial Concepts
    • 320 – Insurance marketing
    • 321 – Marketing and Customer Reach: Insurance marketing
    • ALMI (Must complete Level 1 (2 subjects) + Level 2 (3 subjects)

    • 335 – Excellence in financial service management
    • 357 – Institutional Investment: Principles and Practice
    • 361 – Accounting and Financial Reporting for Life Insurance Companies

    • FLMI (requires completion of ALMI (5 subjects) + Level 3 (5 subjects in total)
    • There are a total of 10 subjects

Admission Requirements and Duration of Study

  • Employees with secondary school education and those working in related industries
  • Self-study format and 20-hour written exam assessment
  • Each subject must be completed within 6 months after enrollment

Language of instruction

  • Materials in Chinese or English are available
