Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Some say NLP is hypnosis, but what is the truth?

Chang Hui-Tzu:
That’s a big misunderstanding. When developing NLP studies, because the eye therapy techniques of hypnotherapy master Milton H. Erickson were analyzed, the study involved hypnosis, and its results were quite remarkable.
In fact, most major NLP developers around the world tend to train NLP students in an educational manner and do not encourage graduates without formal psychotherapy training to practice as hypnotherapists in society.

Q: There are NLP Practitioner courses on the market that only take 7 days or even less. Why does the INLPTA course take 130 hours to complete?

Wai Tzu Cheung:
Since NLP is still a new practical psychological science and much of the training content is still developing, there is basically no standard training syllabus or course hour requirements worldwide. However, world-class NLP institutions and training institutions generally prefer that Executor courses should have at least 130 hours of training to meet the academic standard of NLP.
When I was studying NLP, I had unpleasant experiences. I attended some courses lasting less than 7 days, but only learned the basics of NLP. Even worse, some instructors have astonishing academic levels and performance. Wasting money and time is beyond calculation; the biggest fear is feeding harmful information into the brain, which causes serious harm.

Q: Is an NLP certificate internationally recognized?

Cheung Wai Tzu:
No country in the world hires you as a civil servant just because of an NLP certificate. At the same time, only a few universities worldwide include NLP content in their graduate programs. Whether an NLP certificate is internationally recognized is actually held by the business community and the NLP industry. INLPTA is one of the few NLP training institutions that receives support from a large number of trainers and organizations in Europe, America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. Its certificates can be accredited by other accredited trainers and academies, allowing students to continue on to Executor, Senior Executor, and Trainer programs

Q: How do we assess the qualifications and competence of mentors?

Cheung Wai Tzu:
Usually, if the NLP mentor is a disciple of a world-class training institution or a master mentor, their level is somewhat guaranteed. It is important to note that applying for business registration as an “International xxx Association” or “World xxx Association” in Hong Kong, or even the United States, is quite easy. When encountering someone who claims to be a senior trainer from an international organization, carefully verify their identity and background to avoid any signs of taking advantage of the situation.
