Balancing career and love
A volunteer organization invited me to give a lecture to a group of working women, on how to balance career and love.
I think the issue of career and love being easily out of balance isn’t just about women; the pressure men face is anything but easy.
Women are inherently advantaged in dealing with this issue, while men, on the other hand, are affected by a lack of flexibility in social values and personality, and will face severe challenges this century.
As technology advanced, the employment inequality left over from the Industrial Revolution gradually broke down. In the past, most jobs were handled by men, but now women can also hold a position. Look at Vice Premier Wu Yi—he joined the petroleum industry, which was originally an all-male workforce, even at a young age; On the other that have always been specialized for women are hard for men to get involved in and often go unappreciated.
As both the economy and ideology of the sexes are being impacted by the new era, the rise of women’s economic and social status has also intensified conflicts between the sexes.
Career women often encounter setbacks in love; problems are no longer solely caused by women; If men fail to understand the mindset and mindset of modern women, they not only miss out on good relationships but also lose half of their business and career development opportunities.
Therefore, career and love are not just issues modern women must address; men should also set aside their concerns and learn together with women.
In fact, to achieve success in both career and love, the fundamental answer lies in starting with communication.
Having good communication skills allows you to achieve smooth governance and harmony in your career, creating opportunities. On the road of love, you can also achieve an ideal state of mutual understanding and lifelong companionship.
Communication is not a matter of “quantity”; the most important thing is still “effectiveness.”
To improve communication, we must first elevate from the world of ‘my’ to the realm of ‘we.’
When you make any decision, consider your own interests while also considering others’ feelings. As long as you build understanding and empathy for others, you’ll find that what was once resistance can become an advantage.
Old communication methods only repeat the same results.
