The Origin of the Theories of Environmental Counseling Studies

“Character determines destiny” – Western psychology has found that although innate factors influence personality, effort and environmental control can also change destiny.

Early “self-improvement” studies focused on psychological quality and positive thinking training, and in the past twenty years, a theory combining “instinct,” “mind,” “cognition,” and “spirituality” has been developed; Recently, contemporary thinker Ken Wilber’s “Integral Theory” has further clarified that “change” and “learning” can be a “full quadrant and all levels” revolution. Whether in personal improvement or helping others, activities of “mind, body, and spirit” can be reflected, including the energy interactions among individuals, groups, and the environment. To improve individuals or others, one can start from directions such as “verbal behavior,” “psychological cognition,” “state management,” and “spiritual cultivation”; by changing the “environment,” people’s physiological elements can be influenced, thereby increasing the chances of successful improvement.

“Coaching” is a recently emerging profession in Western consulting and helping professions, while “environmental psychology” is a discipline that focuses on the interaction and relationship between people and their environment. By combining “integrative studies,” “coaching,” “environmental psychology,” and “Eastern and Western metaphysics,” “environmental psychological coaching” has been developed. Because this discipline helps people improve quickly, attract happiness, and create opportunities, it is also called “environmental psychological coaching.”

Why study environmental psychology coaching?

People often complain about having no chances, but smart people seize them, and successful and happy people create opportunities. The way to create opportunities is to preemptively create all the elements that attract and welcome them, including vision, belief values, mindset, behavioral ability, resources, environmental fit, and personnel support. According to the Law of Attraction, people are like a big magnet—whatever you want, you will attract.

As long as you have the willingness to pursue your dreams, you can use techniques from environmental psychology coaching to create corresponding ‘attraction’ phenomena.

After becoming an environmental psychology coach, you will discover that methods for helping others can be very multidimensional and comprehensive. You will also understand the mysteries of Chinese metaphysics, especially the Feng Shui and Ba Zi studies explained and verified by modern methods, combined with practical psychology, which can create infinite opportunities and have immense power.
